About Natchitoches Farmers Market

The first farmers market in Natchitoches was the Cane River Green Market, founded in 1999. In 2017, the market changed its name to the Natchitoches Farmers Market (NFM); however the market's vision remains the same - to promote healthy behaviors. The NFM and it's community garden project make fresh, locally grown produce accessible to all. At the market you can eat healthy, connect with the community and local businesses, and also learn about nutrition, gardening, and cooking.

The Natchitoches Farmers Market is open seasonally on Saturdays from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. It is located in downtown Natchitoches on the riverbank. The Spring market takes place April through July and the Fall market runs six weeks in October and November. The NFM features locally grown produce, meats, food products, plants, herbs, flowers, crafts, hand-made jewelry and much more!

The market offers a Kids Club which consists of $5.00 in wooden tokens given to the first 50 children ages 2 years - 13 years that sign-in at our "Kid's Club Table". They then get to spend their tokens on fresh fruits and vegetables of their choice.

The market accepts cash, debit and credit cards, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) benefit cards, WIC Nutrition Program benefit cards, and SNAP benefit cards.

We are excited to introduce our SNAP MATCH PROGRAM! Beginning this Spring we will match up to $15 when the SNAP benefit card is used. What that means is you get $30 for every $15 spent to use at our market.
